Waffen SS assault gun wrap for Hauptscharführer, later issue wrap as used by StuG and anti-tank units, made of coarse green wool and lined in grey artificial silk with HBT weave, garment is well marked in black ink, chest size 92, inner drawstrings of grey green HBT tape, black metal hook and eye to the neck, large dark grey front closure buttons, medium sized buttons used for buttoning the lapel, small green buttons are used to secure internal closure tabs, two horn buttons used for each cuff, pebbled buttons at the shoulders, set up for slip on shoulder straps, silver white thread on black embroidered national emblem is factory T-stitched to the left upper sleeve, a matched pair of collar tabs are hand sewn to the collar, runic tab is embroidered, rank tab has two zinc pips, neither stitching nor pip's prongs penetrate the collar, likely unissued and in unused condition, wrap was acquired by a north American collector in an estate sale in 1978, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information and photos, USD $13,850 SOLD
