Rare SS contract service blouse for a Waffen-SS Infanterie Hauptscharführer, all original combat worn piece that conforms to the characteristics for those blouses intended for wear specifically for the Waffen-SS, the two step lower liner angle cut, the horizontal bandage pocket buttonhole, the wider collar, the method of pocket attachment, typical SS style markings with serifs, etc., blouse has five button front, four pleated patch pockets, bellows were removed from lower pockets, insignia includes woven sleeve eagle which is zig zag sewn (one wingtip is a bit loose) and a matched pair of wool collar tabs, runic tab is embroidered type, rank tab has two aluminum pips with aluminum prongs plus standard SS rank bar, rank prongs protrude the collar, tabs are machine sewn to the collar, also included are a pair of M44 style slip on shoulder straps, each strap has two zinc pips, non metallic NCO rank tresse and synthetic piping, the non metallic rank tresse attached to the collar is of a slightly different style. the lower left cuff shows clear evidence of a former sleeveband to include remaining attachment threads, there are EKII and Ostfront ribbons in the buttonhole and these appear to be originally attached, metal pebbled buttons match, one cuff button is missing, has the appearance of just having been worn - overall moderate wear and grime but no repairs, there is one jagged hole 1.5cm in length at the right elbow, it is very difficult to find an original contract made SS tunic, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information and photos, USD $14,500 SOLD
