Heer EM overseas cap for Gebirgsjäger Infanterie, constructed of early war field grey wool, ribbed cotton liner, enameled grommets, faint maker stamp, proper type insignia is hand sewn and looks to be originally applied, dark green colored soutache is machine applied with the ends tucked through the fabric at the cap edge seam, cap is worn, aged and soiled, there are a few spots of insect tracking to the wool and a couple of holes 1-2mm in diameter to the left upper side, about a size 56, due to the variation in green Waffenfarben it could be that this cap was used by another branch, USD $450 SOLD
