Set of later pattern Sahariana blouse and shorts for a Waffen-SS medical Unterscharführer, originally badged blouse is the type without pleated pockets, constructed of tan colored ribbed cotton, with four patch pockets and split cuffs, internally there are two bandage pockets and a rear waist tightening drawstring with tunnel, the brown pebbled buttons are dated 1942 and are held with split rings, smaller brown glass buttons are used at the cuffs and for the bandage pockets (one is missing at the right cuff), insignia consists of a matching woolen collar patches with the runic tab being machine embroidered and the rank tab having one zinc rank pip with prongs penetrating the collar, both pieces are hand sewn to the collar, the matched pair of slip on Waffen-SS shoulder straps have blue synthetic piping, tropical style NCO tresse, are held by cloth tunnels at each shoulder and are anchored by late style hollow backed painted pebbled buttons, each strap has a zinc Aesculapius rod applied with prongs, the tropical style woven SS national emblem is factory zig zag stitched using black bobbin thread, the accompanying shorts, of a slightly contrasting color of ribbed cotton, are privately made, they are hemmed but unlined, there are two front slash pocket and one rear pocket, the fly is closed with dished meal buttons, ensemble was service used and there are a few stains plus sone minor fraying to the collar line and buttonholes, the collar tabs are a bit worn and frayed, both pieces have the same woven initial label, blouse stamped with size markings and RBNr, USD $4450 SOLD
