VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. Imperial Japanese Army Type 90 helmet with cover and issue net, olive painted steel shell having brown leather liner and corded drawstring, webbed canvas chinstrap, white painted Kanji on inner rear shell and dome, olive colored cotton cover is held in place with a drawstring, the front of the cover has a machine applied yellow felt star which shows a bit of insect damage, the lower edge of the cover where it meets the helmet's rim is also worn through in a few places, the camouflage net is of brown and green tones and has twisted remnants of vegetation, a couple of the string sections have parted, with age and wear from light to moderate service use, cover was not removed to examine the steel helmet itself, striking example in very good condition, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional photos, USD $2750 SOLD
