VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Unissued Luftwaffe Splintertarn camouflaged pattern Fallschirmjäger smock, bright Luftwaffe splinter camouflage pattern printed on thick cotton twill fabric, the machine embroidered splinter camo backed national emblem is a factory zig zag machine applied, all of the metal RAPID marked zippers are complete and functional and each has its leather pull tabs, two of these are dark blue and the other two are brown, all of the PRYM 6 snaps snaps are present, operational, have their external coverings and are completely free of oxidation, the internal wind cuffs are complete with all fittings, the complete set of five front closure black colored composite buttons are present and originally sewn, the internal lining components are of a purplish colored rayon and the pockets are of a light grayish white cotton, waist drawstrings are made of a green colored HBT tape and are finished on the ends, all rear fittings are without damage or alteration, smock is stamped in blue ink with size Ia and with RBNr 0/0250/0908(Franz Weck, Berlin), smock is in mint unissued condition and there is a paper issue tag factory sewn to the inner lower hem, the tag is covered with old cellophane tape, this very smock is depicted in the book German Paratroops in North Africa by John Hodgin, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional detailed photos, USD $13,000 SOLD
