Luftwaffe M35 double decal tan camouflage helmet, well used example interesting in that the Luftwaffe eagle decal is painted over while the national colors shield was mostly painted around, the blue grey factory finish was over painted by hand with a thick coat of tan paint, the camo finish is quite worn, especially to the top but with scratches and scuffs to all parts of the external surface revealing the base paint and in some cases, the darkened steel shell, helmet pins retain about 40% of their paint, there are remains of what may be a white mailing label to the left upper dome, exposed national colors decal is approximately 90% intact, overall camo coverage is about 60%, shell is stamped Q66, aluminum liner bands, liner pins are tight and all washers are in place, leather liner is dry and dusty but unbroken and with drawstring, chinstrap end was period trimmed and the buckle side has separated, interesting helmet, USD $2000 SOLD
