VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Interesting M44-style service blouse for a Luftwaffe Flak EM, short waisted blouse having two patched breast pockets, converted from another garment, the donor perhaps being an HJ Flakhilfer blouse or overcoat, body constructed of later war quality coarse blue grey wool, having sectioned front placket with six button front, the two chest pockets have scalloped pocket flaps, large collar is absent hook and eye, with blue grey reinforcing tape at the inner split cuffs which are without provision for buttoning, dark blue colored HBT fabric is used internally to support the pocket flap stitching, an inner neck loop is fashioned from light blue cotton, the same fabric is used to reinforce the armpits and shoulders, setup with bridles for use with slip on shoulder straps, a matched pair of Flak EM straps are included and these have synthetic piping, the straps are anchored by dark blue grey painted pebbled buttons and the same type are used for front closure and pockets (one is missing), a machine embroidered national emblem on blue grey wool backing is zig zag machine applied, the lower left sleeve has a machine embroidered on felt signals radio operator patch, there are loops for one breast badge, blouse shows a bit of wear bu the only damage noted is a .5cm tear near the left shoulder strap button, quite different, USD $1050 SOLD
