VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. Distinctive M18 camouflaged helmet, shell stamped ET64, having steel liner bands and with light grey colored leather liner, each liner section still has its pads, with leather liner drawstring, one steel chinstrap loop remains while the other is absent, the grey green inner shell surfaces have a patina of light rust, over the shell's factory painted surface were applied by hand camo colors in light green, medium green, red brow and dark brown, the colors were applied in larger swatches and the effect is rather subtle, there are some scratches and areas of wear, especially to the top, there are few drips of the darker brown paint to the helmet's rear, camo paint coverage would rate at least 90%, very nice, USD $1500 SOLD
