ET made Waffen-SS reissue M40 single decal helmet, early production M40 with aluminum reinforced liner band dated 1940, with mixed chinstrap bales, one being an early angular bale whereas the other has rounded corners, the full length black leather chinstrap is maker marked and dated 1939, it has an aluminum buckle, unmarked brown leather liner is undamaged and still has its corded string, all of the liner pins still have their washers, shell is stamped ET64 and the batch number is 535, this particular helmet was refurbished at the depot level when the external rough texture field grey paint and the Pocher decal were applied, as is often the case, the decal is applied at a slight angle, internally the original factory paint remains, the external finish would rate about 95%, the shell is a bit dirty and there are a few gouges and scratches including one which nicks the decal's edge, there are a few other flecks to the lower portion of the decal, decal rates 90-95%, interesting example in nice condition, USD $4565 WITHDRAWN
