Excellent Heer M42 service blouse for an Infanterie Feldwebel, standard issue in every respect having the six button front and scalloped pocket flaps, constructed of mid war quality field grey wool and with lining of grey colored rayon, with four patch pockets, the lower two being the cargo type, having adjustable cuffs each being secured with a single horn button, the second button was removed as were the collar liner buttons, he grey colored pebbled buttons match and a few of these look to have had the attachment threads period reinforced, internally there are four webbed belt hook support straps, with size stampings in black ink and, interestingly, the size stampings were made before the blouse was constructed and portion of the markings are covered with adjacent lining panels, the bandage pocket, which has a pressed paper closure button, bears a faint RBNr stamp, the subdued pattern collar patches are straight machine stitched, the subdued woven pattern national emblem is also factory sewn in the 'zip and flip' fashion with a single line of straight machine stitching across the upper wing and through the lining with the lower portions being finished by hand, a matched pair of slip on shoulder straps is fitted, each has rayon piping and a single zinc rank pip, the matching metallic NCO tresse is machine sewn to collar and straps, ribbons for EKII and KVK are originally applied to the buttonholes, two breast badges were formally applied to the breast pocket by pinning them through the fabric, garment with light service wear but is absolutely without insect damage, alteration or repair, difficult to find model in this state of originality and condition, textbook example, USD $3250 SOLD
