SS contract issue M42 service blouse for a Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger Untersturmführer, constructed of German wool and having four pleated patch pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, adjustable cuffs and steel hook and eye at the collar, garment is lined in, has belt hook support straps and bandage pocket of light grey colored rayon, with size and maker stampings in black ink, F.43 depot stamp, with matching painted steel pebbled buttons, the front closure buttons have been reinforced with additional stitches of black thread, the bandage pocket and ciff buttons are of grey green colored glass, there are no collar liner buttons, the slip on shoulder boards have black wool bases and tongues, the green piping is wool, the shoulder board bridles have been professionally altered to accommodate the straps' tongues, the matching officer collar patches are machine applied, both the bullion runic tab and rank tab have the thin silver twist piping, the rank tab has three late quality zinc rank pips of the type with prongs on the edges, the machine embroidered sleeve eagle is factory zig zag sewn, the SS pattern machine embroidered mountain patch is hand sewn to the upper right sleeve, blouse exhibits only light wear and with the exception of the shoulder board bridles, is unaltered from its issued state, the right shoulder board button was torn away at some time and this has been postwar repaired, includes two aluminum belt support hooks, attractive example, USD $8000 SOLD
