VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Heer tropical M42 service blouse manufactured by the firm of Peek & Cloppenburg, garment made of green/olive colored ribbed cotton, having minimal lining components, bandage pocket and belt hook support straps of flat olive colored cotton, the lower right skirt and inner bandage pocket have thread remains of former issue paper tags, the inner panel to which the painted steel pebbled buttons and S rings are affixed is stamped in black ink with the Peek & Cloppenburg logo, also stamped faintly in black ink with size and B42 depot, cuffs and bandage pocket have all of their grey colored pressed paper buttons, blouse has five button front, open collar, adjustable cuffs and four patch pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, with provision for slip on shoulder straps, with factory applied woven tropical pattern insignia, the litzen collar patches are zig zag machine sewn, the national emblem is applied in the 'zip and flip' style being straight machine stitched across the top of the eagle's wing with the lower portions being completed by hand, piece shows light staining in spots and a portion of the eagle's wing is abraded, there is a small dark spot to the outer lower right sleeve, there are no holes, tears or repairs, USD $2650 WITHDRAWN
