VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Heer M44 service blouse badged for an Oberfeldwebel of the Panzerkorps Feldherrnhalle, excellent standard issue M44 constructed of brownish field grey wool, with open collar five button front, two breast patch pockets, adjustable cuffs and integral waistband, lined in two different shades of grey colored cotton, there are two internal waist belt support straps of the same grey cotton material, having two internal pockets each secured with a pressed paper button, a pair of pressed paper buttons are used to close each cuff, with the full complement of originally sewn painted pebbled buttons, the late pattern woven collar patches and triangular shaped national emblem look to be factory sewn, the collar patches are zig zag machine sewn and the national emblem is straight machine stitched through the lining, regarding the FHH insignia, the lower left sleeve has a borderless machine embroidered sleeveband on SA colored brown colored wool, the sleeveband is straight machine stitched, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps are constructed of a similar colored brownish field grey wool, each has tongue reinforcing materials of light grey colored fabric having an HBT wave, with synthetic piping and machine applied subdued NCO tresse, each strap has two late quality zinc rank pips and silver washed stamped zinc FHH cyphers (*it is suspected that the shoulder straps are indeed high quality copies*), the left internal facing lining panel has black ink stampings top include RBNr, sizes and M44, in addition to these stampings there are subsequent stampings, also in black ink, but made later, as they overstamp buttonhole and construction thread stitching, for Pz.Gren.Rgt. FHH and large digits 483 (*it is suspected that these latter stampings may very well be postwar embellishments*), there are two sets of badge loops to the pocket, condition is excellent except for a few moth nips to the sleeveband and some staining to the lining, priced accordingly, USD $2800 SOLD
