Beautiful custom tailored reefer jacket for Kriegsmarine Konteradmiral u. Ritterkreuzträger Rolf Johannesson, Johannesson began service as a Seekadett in 1918 and spent his entire career in naval service finally attaining the rank of Commander of the Fleet in the Bundesmarine before retiring in 1961, his last active wartime command was as Acting Commanding Admiral Deutsche Bucht through March 1945, among his many awards were the Spanienkreuz in Silber mit Schwerten, DKiG (12.02.1942) and Ritterkreuz (07.12.1943), inner pcoket nametag with Johannesson's name with rank of Kpt. z. S., with tag from a Hamburg tailor, double breasted jacket is constructed of dark blue ribbed trikot wool and is lined in black rayon, with candy striped sleeve lining, there are two internal breast pockets, one small breast pocket and two flapped hip pockets, there is a double row of gilt anchor buttons marked Kriegsmarine 1938 and with diamond shaped logo, each cuff has one broad and one narrow gilt metallic rank ring and these are machine applied with the ends being sewn into the sleeve seams, the gilt bullion wire line officer's stars are hand stitched, with a hand sewn high quality and nicely age toned bullion national emblem, there are loops for one breast badge on the wearer's right breast and loops for four badges plus a long ribbon bar (included) on the left breast, an EKII Spange is applied to the lapel buttonhole with the edges of the ribbon being sewn down, jacket was lightly service worn but no damage or repairs are noted, please paste the URL below for more information about this officer, lovely named item, USD $4500 SOLD
