Heer Panzer officer's visored cap, believed to be a later war product of the Erel firm, large size 59 and having cream colored rayon lining with unmarked celluloid sweat diamond, sweatband is of tan colored leather and a rectangular piece of cork is inserted between front sweatband and lining at the forehead, cap having saddle shape with high peak, body is of ribbed trikot and dark green cap band is felt, with thick rosa colored wool piping around peak and along edges of the cap band, black composite visor, metallic chin cord held by silver pebbled buttons affixed with prongs, having a padded bullion wreath with zinc and plastic rosette with red felt insert, with slightly tarnished silvered national emblem affixed with prongs which do not penetrate the body, there is a slight impression in the fabric above the eagle's wing but there are no prongs or holes for prongs in the opposite lining, cap with service wear and age but there are no holes, tears, insect damage or repairs to body or piping, there is a missing section to the rear lining behind and above the sweatband, USD $1200 SOLD
