Four pocket service blouse attributed to General der Luftnachrichtentruppen Walter Surén, Surén was promoted to Generalmajor on 1 Apr. '39, Gerneralleutnant on 1 Apr. '41 and General der Luftnachrichtentruppen on 30 Apr. '45, blouse has name label in one internal pocket but the name is not readable, includes two postwar prints depicting this officer plus a photocopy of his service record, his highest award was the DKiS rendered on 21 Sept. '42 as Generalleutnant und Höherer Nachrchtenführer beim Luftflottenkommando 4, blouse was privately tailored and has woven label of a Viennese firm, constructed of finely ribbed blue grey trikot wool it has an open collar, four pleated patch pockets and turn back cuffs, the lining is of charcoal colored rayon, there are two internal breast pockets with buttoned flaps, with hanger for wear with dagger or sword, the General der Flieger type shoulder boards have the intertwined gilt and silver metallic cords and are sewn in, each board has two large rank pips, the matching collar patches are machine sewn and have celleon embroidery on white wool with bullion wire highlights and piping, the lower collar edges are piped in twisted gilt cord, the bullion hand embroidered general ranks national emblem has highlights in golden colored thread, it is hand sewn to the breast, a Krim shield on blue felt backing is sewn using black thread to the upper left sleeve, the pebbled gilt buttons are marked Gebr. W.L. and all are sewn with black cotton thread, the smaller shoulder board buttons are marked EXTRA FEIN, there two sets of badge loops for the right breast (one of the upper group is broken) and loops for four breast badges on the left breast plus loops for what appears to a very long ribbon bar and two other smaller ribbon bars, there is a frayed area at the corner of one of the internal breast pockets plus a small patched area to the lining near the dagger hanger, in addition there are a few abraded areas to the rear collar area, a moth hole near the right shoulder board button plus some abrasions to the lower right pocket's corner as well as the skirt hem and cuff ends, the inner surface of the lower left cuff edge has an area where the fabric has worn away but this is not visible upon viewing externally, appealing item, SOLD
