Rare pair of unissued Luftwaffe Feldanzug trousers as worn by Fallschirm-Div. personnel, Field Division troops and assault gunners, it is thought that these trousers may have been introduced as a universal pattern for wear by these members, for discussion see pp. 220-221 of the book Panzer Feldjacke, Vol. Four Luftwaffe by S. Pritchett, trousers are similar to those issued to FJ but lack the side fittings for gravity knife and provision for wear with kneepads, constructed of a very good quality field grey wool, trousers are lined at the inner waist and have reinforcement materials at crotch and ankle of ribbed blue grey cotton, ankle ties are of a grey colored HBT tape with finished ends, there are two flapped hipped pockets, two flapped rear pockets and one flapped watch pocket, each with PRYM 6 marked blue grey covered snaps, the two rear pocket flaps are held with black glass buttons, blue glass buttons are used at the fly, black plastic buttons are positioned at the inner waistband, pocket bags are of a tan colored burlap-like material, there are tightening straps and blue buckles at either hip, trousers are stamped at the inner waistband with maker code and size markings, a paper issue tag with the same size markings penciled is sewn to the outer waist, example is in absolutely unused condition, one other pair has been observed, USD $4000 HOLD
