Full profile - THIS ITEM IS SOLD

Named Heer M42 single decal tricolor spray camouflaged helmet, shell stamped hkp64 at rear inner skirt, lot number 3226, tan leather liner is dry and abraded at the edges with significant flaking, the liner is stamped 56 and the drawstring is still in place, there are areas of dark staining at the right temple that appear to be of an organic nature, the complete and full chinstrap is maker code marked and \'42 dated, liner pins do not appear to have been disturbed and each still has its washer, the inner rear skirt has the rank and name Uffz. Schmidt applied in white paint, externally the rough textured grey green factory finish was over sprayed in a deep tan color with a subsequent light application of green and then with heavier spray of maroon, the single Heer decal was covered in this process and it looks to be largely intact underneath the camo paint, there are scratches and scuffs to the camo paint revealing the base coat, and in some cases, the underlying darkened steel, most of the damage is to the upper dome, overall coverage is still 90% or better and the helmet is not appreciably worn other than these scratches, excellent example with great shelf appeal, USD $2650 SOLD
