The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Attractive black wrap for a Heer Großdeutschland Panzer Oberleutnant, standard issue mid war quality wrap constructed of dense high quality black wool, wrap has lining, internal pockets, belt hook support straps, buttoning tabs and internal tie tunnels of grey colored ribbed cotton, tie tapes are black with HBT weave, lining is stamped in black ink with sizes, RBNr and M43 depot, wrap has not been shortened and has the complete set of four large black composite closure buttons as well as the smaller black plastic lapel, buttoning tab and cuff buttons, all of these look to be originally sewn, cuff lining materials are flat black cotton, there is a steel hook and eye at the throat, insignia includes wool piped Panzer collar patches which are machine sewn and which have silvered zinc Totenkopfen with pointed edge prongs penetrating the collar, the subdued woven national emblem is machine zig zag sewn, a matched pair of slip on shoulder boars are attached to the unmodified shoulder strap bridles and are anchored with a field grey painted pebbled button, each shoulder board has a gilt GD cypher and rank pip, none of the devices prongs penetrate to the boards undersides, the right upper sleeve has two hand applied Tank Destruction Badges and these are attached with black cotton thread, the right lower sleeve has a Großdeutschland sleeveband with silver wire hand embroidery in Sütterlin script, the sleeveband is hand sewn with black cotton thread, the topmost lapel buttonhole has ribbons for both Ostmedaille and EKII, there are loops for three breast badges and a short ribbon bar, wrap is only lightly worn although the garment is a bit dusty and soiled externally, certain areas have whitish marks which look to be light colored dirt or mud, USD $9000 SOLD
