VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Service worn Waffen-SS EM M43 cap with stacked insignia, textbook Waffen-SS contract M43 cap having a single (chipped) plastic button, constructed of later quality field grey wool, with lining of worn pale grey rayon, markings have faded with use and time but their location can be discerned, the woven SS cap eagle and large style SS skull are factory hand sewn using black thread, body shows wear, age and soiling but the wool's nap is mostly intact, there are some bends to the brim's inner stiffener (from it being wet) and a couple of picks, one to the brim edge and one to the top, lining is stained and faded from use, about size 56, desirable configuration, USD $3850 SOLD
