VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Waffen-SS officer\'s M43 cap, privately made example made of ribbed trikot wool, with lining of pale green colored ribbed cotton having the single stamping in black ink size 57, with partial tan colored leather sweatband which is missing a portion on one side, side pull down loops are made of the same ribbed cotton material, the white crown piping is wool, the two pebbled silver buttons are applied with commercial green colored thread, the machine woven SS skull and SS cap eagle are very neatly hand sewn using black thread, cap exhibits light wear and age and shows some light staining to the brim (this is more apparent in the photos), USD $3915 SOLD
