The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Waffen-SS M42 pattern service blouse for an Artillerie Unterscharführer from 11. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division Nordland, standard Waffen-SS contract issue M42 blouse well marked with SS-BW stamping and size markings all in black ink, with contrasting grey lining materials and belt hook support straps, except for buttonhole facing panel all lining components have the HBT weave, the buttonhole lining panel is of as plain pale grey artificial silk, blouse itself is constructed of German made mid war quality field grey wool, with four pleated patch pockets having scalloped pocket flaps, five button front, two hole belt hook support positions at the waist, with blue grey painted pebbled metal buttons and horn buttons at cuffs and bandage pocket, having a matched pair of woolen collar patches, runic tab is the machine embroidered type, rank tab has a single zinc rank tab and its prongs penetrate the collar, the collar patches are machine applied and the bobbin thread is black, having machine applied non metallic NCO collar tresse, the tresse is machine applied and sewn over the lower edges of the collar patches, includes a matched pair of earlier style Waffen-SS shoulder straps having synthetic piping and machine applied metallic NCO tresse, tongue reinforcing materials are of black ribbed cotton, blouse has grey on black machine woven sleeve eagle which is hand sewn and is originally applied with its wear and age commensurate with the rest of the garment, lower cuff features a straight stitch machine applied machine woven Nordland sleeveband, there are loops for a long ribbon bar and EKII and Ostfront ribbons are positioned in the second buttonhole and these look to be originally applied, blouse shows wear and age toning, the sleeveband is abraded in spots, the rank tab has a couple of small holes, there are a few small darned repairs to the right upper sleeve and right lower pocket, the buttonholes are a bit frayed from use, an attractive service used example, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information and photos, USD $13,500 SOLD
