VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. Service used Luftwaffe officer's white topped visored cap, having a detachable white waffle pattern top, the bullion national emblem on white wool backing is affixed by prongs, bullion wreath and rosette sewn to black mohair cap band, the silver metallic chincord is held in place with two silver pebbled buttons, the lining material is off white rayon, the celluloid sweat diamond has the golden logo Deutsche Wertarbeit, cap with brown leather sweatband, cap body is slightly age yellowed, there are no holes or stains to the top and interior is in excellent condition, estimate size 56, nice appearance, USD $1275 SOLD
