Full image - THIS ITEM IS SOLD

Service used Waffen-SS second type M42 oakleaf pattern pullover smock, an earlier example having the horizontal pocket flaps and, interestingly, with sleeve ends and cuffs of contrasting plane tree camouflage fabrics, spring side reversible to autumn, one pocket flap on the autumn side exhibits the desirable dye flaw, having foliage loops of spring pattern camo material attached to the upper outer arms and shoulders of both sides, with an original drawstring, knotted at the ends, smock is assembled using black threads and the buttonholes are machine made, the foliage loops themselves are made using straw colored thread, the pocket bags are made of drillich material having an HBT weave, the blue painted pebbled metal buttons look to be originally sewn, underarms are vented, a few foliage loop ends have become detached but all loops are still in place except for one on the spring side's outer left shoulder (middle loop is absent), waist and sleeve elastics are a little relaxed, there is a period machine darned repair to the left rear lower skirt, there are a couple of small frayed spots appx. 1cm in diameter to the upper and lower outer sleeve, the left lower cuff has a tear about 2cm in length, there are two period vertical repairs at the left lower pocket where it was torn (typical) and these are machine done and scarcely noticeable, the bag pockets are abraded in spots, finally there are some period black stitches holding the edges of the bag pockets into place, a super looking field worn smock, USD $8000 SOLD
