The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Faded tropical service blouse for a Heer Panzer Oberleutnant, standard production pleated pocket service blouse having open collar, pleated pockets, five button front and adjustable cuffs, made of olive colored cotton twill and with bandage pocket and internal belt hook support straps of contrasting olive colored cotton, with size and B42 depot stampings in black ink, the numerals 224 are penned below the stampings, the bandage pocket has an additional black ink stamp perhaps indicating the maker, the field grey painted metal buttons are held with S rings except for the shoulder strap buttons which are sewn into place, the cuff buttons are pressed paper, the bandage pocket button is a civilian replacement, the officer quality bullion collar patches are hand sewn to the collar with black cotton thread, the slip on shoulder boards each have a single gilt rank pip, the hand embroidered bullion national emblem is hand sewn with black thread, the lapels have aluminum Totenkopfen applied, held with flat aluminum prongs (one is absent), the fabric behind the skulls is noticeably darker than the surrounding fabric having been protected from the sun, at one time a badge was applied to the left breast pocket, besides there are three sets of badge loops applied to this pocket but these look to be postwar applied and made of polyester thread, garment is significantly faded, there are abraded areas to the rear collar and lower cuff edges, the inner cuff seams have come undone in spots, buttonholes show a bit of fraying, there is some faint minor staining to the upper rear left shoulder, no holes or repairs are noted, very attractive, USD $3000 SOLD
