VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Heer M18 cut out single decal substitute helmet, shell stamped ET64, there is no visible lot number, shell painted with rough textured Schiffergrau paint, the Heer eagle decal is slightly tilted and there are some chips to the edge, there is mottling to the painted finish and the right rear upper dome shows rust and pitting, the liner pins have varying degrees of smoother paint, having a zinc liner band, all helmet pin washers are still in place, there is a great degree of dust buildup between bands and shell, the leather liner is chafed and three of the fingers have been chewed away, it is marked size 56 and has the penciled initials of a former owner, with a fine full length chinstrap with RBNr, definitely service used, USD $3500
