VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Kriegsmarine single decal M42 helmet, EF64 shell, lot number 2133, approximatlely 95% of the original factory rough textured green paint with some scuffing and fine scratches remains, collectively the pins have about 80% of their finish, overall the paint has age darkened over the years, the typical late war KM decal, without the raised border but with the white underlying layer, as found on EF helmets would rate about 95%, steel liner bands are stamped DRP Schuberthwerke size 64/57 and dated 1943, the nice leather liner is stamped size 57 and the original drawstring remains, the innards have not been disturbed and all 3 split rivets are complete with their washers, the brown leather chinstrap is full length and marked bdr41 with a crack or separation about 3 inches from the tip, USD $1575
