VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Pair of sew-in shoulder boards from the estate of Heer Rittmeister Günther Konopacki, possibly the highest decorated company-grade officer of the German Army, set consists of two copies of photos of Konopacki in all of his decorations (front and back of originals), see Fedorowicz’ “Face of Courage” for a complete biography, Konopacki commanded a battalion of the Aufklärungs-Lehr-Regiment (from the cavalry school, not the armor school), boards have been sewn in and show wear plus a few minor moth nips, the photos are sealed in plastic but could be removed if desired, USD $675 SOLD
