VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Later issue Heer EM tropical M40 cap, standard issue cap, type with built in sweatband, red cotton liner marked M43 and what may be size 57 (seems smaller), dual steel grommets to either side, national colors rosette is factory machine sewn, national emblem is also factory applied by sewing across the top of the eagle's wing and then being flipped over and finished by hand, cap has seen service worn and faded but is undamaged and without repair, great looking example with just the right shape, USD $1850 SOLD
