Named service tunic to RKT Pionier Oberst Hubert Maria Ritter von Heigl, includes original forty page soft cover book Ritterkreuzträger des Heeres - Oberstleutnant von Heigl, book has photos, maps and drawings as well as an account of von Heigl's life and actions meriting the award of the RK, also included are two photos of von Heigl with RK plus photocopies of information related to von Heigl such as an article about his funeral, service blouse is of a heavy gabardine-like fabric with four pleated patch pockets and a dark green stand and fall collar with two neck hooks, the collar is lined in a grey silk material and has three studs for the collar liner, the tunic itself is lined in green rayon, the inner facings at the buttonhole are of field quality wool, there is a slit for a dagger/sword hanger and there is one internal pocket including label with von Heigl's name, rank and 21 May 1943 date, Munich tailor's label is at the neck, insignia includes machine sewn bullion collar tabs, hand sewn bullion national emblem and sew in shoulder boards, each with two gilt pips, all insignia is originally applied, in addition there are loops for a long ribbon bar and one breast badge, matte grey pebbled buttons, tunic shows some wear and age but is without damage or repair, there is quite a bit of information available about this officer on the Internet, see the sample link below, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information, USD $6600 WITHDRAWN
