Interesting grouping for Luftwaffe Ritterkreuzträger Oberfeldwebel Walter Loos, pilot of IV. (Sturm)/JG 3, JG 300, and finally flying the Ta 152 with JG 301, Walter Loos flew 66 combat missions and is credited 38 confirmed victories and 8 unconfirmed, 30 aircraft were claimed on the Western Front, including 22 four-engined bombers, he himself was shot down nine times and was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 20 April 1945, included with the group are field issue preliminary award document for the RK, award documents for EKII, EKI, Flugzeugführerabzeichen, Frontflugspange für Jäger in Bronze (signed by RKT Dahl) and the Ehrenpokal, further included is Loos' NSFK Flugbuch with photo and numerous entries for sailplane flights, softcover Flugbuch dated Sept. 1942 detailing hundreds training flights on various types of aircraft from FW44s to the Bf109e, a separate hard cover Flugbuch listing both training and operational flights including victories over Soviet aircraft through April 1945, his Luftwaffen-Flugzeugführerschein with photo and entries for flights with 4/Jagdgruppe Ost in Bf109G, FW190G6 and Ta 152, further included is comprehenisve photo album covering Loos' time from recruit through to award of RK, album has photos and captions of Loos as EM, with comrades in Bayreuth, Riga and Paris, flying sailplanes including one named 'Baby', sitting at the controls of trainers, on parade, swimming, riding (a cow), at airfields with girlfriends, photos of comrades in Panzeruniform, numerous photos of Loos at controls of FWs and Bf109s, wedding photos, with pasted in articles about defense of the Reich, sample shoot down certificates for B-24, B-17s and P-51, two newspaper clipping as well as a Kriegsberichterkompanie report about the award of the DKiG to Loos, photos of Loos wearing both lightweight and leather flyer's combinations, a newspaper article with photos about Loos' commanding officer Obertsleutnant Dahl (Loos flew as wingman), several photos of Loos wearing RK in different settings and wearing different types of uniforms, various snapshots and portraits of Loos including large format photos of Loos with RK and at controls of FW190, a typewritten Abschussliste of victories over viermots and fighters, a letter from RKT Dahl, signed by Oberstleutnant and Geschwaderkommodore, finally there are typewritten summaries of Loos' awards prepared in July 1945 as well as his service history from entry into service in 1941 through release as POW in August 1945, fantastic group and too much material to show properly here, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional detailed photos and additional information, USD $29,500 WITHDRAWN
