Set of SS-VT M37 grey HBT service blouse and breeches for Sturmann in Rgt. Deutschland, service blouse and breeches are constructed gray HBT cloth, blouse with two upper pleated patch pockets and two lower slash hip pockets with flaps, French cuffs, there is also an internal bandage pocket, internally there is a tunnel with drawstring at the rear waist plus four internal belt support straps, each with an aluminum belt support hook, there is a faded SS RZM cloth tag at the inner lower pocket and several stampings in black ink at the left internal rear shoulder plus the stamp VA 38 below the rear inside topmost front closure buttonhole, all insignia, which has been restored is of high quality and appropriate in period and level of age and wear for this set, insignia consists of a matched pair of wool based collar patches for an SS Sturmann, a 'hammerhead' style embroidered sleeve eagle, a rank chevron and an RZM EM Gothic style machine embroidered Deutschland sleeveband, all are had applied, in addition included are a matched pair of slip on black wool shoulder straps with an embroidered Gothic 'D' for the Deutschland Rgt., the left breast pocket has loops for one badge, the accompanying and matching breeches also have a faded SS RZM cloth tag and are stamped with a large 54 at the inner waist band, there are two side pockets, a watch pocket and one rear pocket, ankle tie strings are in place and all buttons and fittings remain, both pieces were service worn but are without alteration or damage, the breeches have a brownish stain at the right rear hip and there are some minor stains to one calf, set was properly restored by the late Michael Beaver and is featured on pages 677-679 of Uniforms of the Waffen-SS, vol. 3, it well represents the appearance of a famous SS-VT regiment, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information and photos, USD $16,000 SOLD
