Original Eichenlaub Vorschlag and personnel file for SS-Gruppenführer Fritz von Scholz, set includes a six page folio regarding the approval of the award of the oakleaves to Gruppenführer von Scholz, the cover page is followed by a summary of von Scholz's career, awards and leadership of SS Panzer Grenadier Division 'Nordland', next is the detailed account of the desperate combat in early 1944 on the eastern front and how von Scholz's tenacious and forceful leadership was decisive in preventing collapse, included are pages documenting Steiner and Himmler's endorsements of the award and submission for approval by Hitler, the document was further endorsed and pen signed by General Rudolf Schmundt, Chief of the Personnel Department, Schmundt's signature confirmed that Hitler had read and approved the application for award of the oakleaves, the document was typed on the special large "Führer" typewriter as used at the Führerhauptquartier in Rasternburg Prussia, also included is a four page Personalnachweis with photo of von Scholz, noting ranks, promotions, assignments, awards and finally, death resulting from wounds, in addition included are a wartime photo measuring 18x13cm, it has been stapled at the edge and exhibits some age, finally there are photocopies of a biography with photos and a typewritten translation of the Vorschlag, all pieces are stored in a protective binder with notes from a former owner, a very interesting set detailing the career of a well-known historical figure, USD $5000 SOLD
