Carl Halfar produced Heer Panzer M40 tropical cap, stamped internally to Halfar as manufacturer with '42 date and large size 60, cap with red flat cotton lining, each side has two enameled ventilation grommets, the grommets on the right side are of slightly differing shades, one grommet on the left side is positioned slightly askew, the cap body itself is constructed of ribbed olive green cotton, the tropical pattern woven insignia are factory sewn in the Halfar fashion with the national emblem and rosette both being zig zag machine stitched, the pink soutache is factory machine sewn, one 'arm' of the soutache does not extend all the way to the brim but the application is 100% original, cap is in unworn condition and is without damage or repair, cap manufactured by a desirable maker with sought after Waffenfarbe and having a very large size, USD $4250 SOLD
