Sensational photo album from a member of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1, remarkable album belonging formerly to a member of the regiment whose duties also included a lot of flying, subject is seen wearing a flight clasp in addition to hi FJ badge, album is noteworthy for the fact that the subject served in almost every theater of war including Holland, Norway, Crete, Russia and Tunisia, later he was involved in non combat duties in Naples and Bucharest, large format album with metal helmet having Luftwaffe eagle on cover and rare embossing of Fallschirm=Jg.Rgt. 1 in silver to the cover (indicating likely purchase from soldier's canteen at a home base such as Stendal or Gardelegen), well captioned photos depict landing scenes in Holland, destroyed Dutch armor and vehicles, German panzers, Dutch prisoners, graves, harbor and destroyed buildings in Narvik, numerous photos from the air in Ju52s, shots of Belgrade, Salonika, Athens and Roman scenes, photos of massed Ju52s approaching Crete over the Mediterranean, airfields and personnel at Tobruk and Derna, air convoys over Tunis, burial ceremonies, camo scenes, crash landed Stuka, destroyed Russian armor and towns, photos from home leave, there are also quite a few stock photos of places like Belgrade and Naples, over 200 photos in all, from a well known FJ-related collection, USD $1250 SOLD
