Named Luftwaffe M38 single decal rough texture wood chip camouflage Fallschirmjäger helmet, the type often associated with use by Fallsch.Jgr.Rgt.6, shell stamped ET68, darkened leather liner with Heisler maker and size stamping, the name P. Fink and unit 12 Komp. penned to the liner, the former owner's name is also painted to the inner rim in white, aluminum liner bands with earlier lighter colored liner pads, chinstrap harness of brown leather has wear and a couple of cracks but is complete with both slides plus buckle and snap, the factory grey green painted finish is covered externally with rough textured tan and green colored camouflage sprayed paint, this covers the single Luftwaffe decal and adheres to the four spanner bolts, the finish is scratched and worn with areas of the darkened base metal exposed particularly on the left upper side above the bolt and decal, overall coverage is about 90%, typical and emblematic of helmets worn by Fallschirmjäger in the Normandy battles, USD $9500 SOLD
