Luftwaffe tropical service visored cap 'Hermann Meyer' type, complete example appears to be unissued and never worn as there is only some minor soiling from storage and handling, red lining is stamped size 55 1/2, with 1943 date and RBNr, with partial sweatband of tan colored cotton, there are two steel ventilation grommets per side, cap body itself is of tan colored ribbed cotton having the Luftwaffe shade, the chinstrap is positioned with the waffle textured black side outward, the special woven Luftwaffe tropical pattern national emblem and wreath are factory machine applied via straight stitch with the eagle sewn in triangular form and the wreath in the shape of a rectangle, the detachable neck flap is held with three brown colored glass buttons and is made of the same material of the cap, nice setup, USD $2750 SOLD
