Luftwaffe M38 rough texture wood chip tri color single decal camouflaged helmet, factory finish covered with rough texture wood chip paint to which camo colors of dark yellow, dark green and red brown were over sprayed, the textured camo finish extends to the spanner bolts and the single decal is covered although traces of the decal are still visible, there are a few chips to the finish, especially to the top, in those areas the original grey green paint is revealed, overall the remaining camo coverage is approximately 85%, the helmet shell is stamped ET68, liner bands are aluminum and liner pad are the black sponge type, the leather is darkened at the edges and the size markings are somewhat faint, chinstrap harness is complete and the leather is quite supple, the snap is marked PRYM 4H, nuts and spanner bolts are tight, extra appealing example, USD $8500 SOLD
