Late quality Erel Heer Panzergrenadier officer visored cap attributed to RKT Düppenbecker, Herbert Düppenbecker (RK 04.10.1944) was Hauptmann and Kdr I./Pz.Gren.Rgt 79 16. Panzer-Division, consignor reports cap was separated from a grouping to include dagger, Soldbuch, photos and other documents, cap with impressed silver Erel logo to red bown colored leatherette sweatband, having a light yellow colored rayon lining and celluloid sweat diamond with Erel Extra logo, cap body of grey green wool and with cap band of dark green felt, the diameter of the grass green colored wool piping on the crown is slightly wider than the piping along the cap band, the metallic silver chin cord is held with two silver pebbled buttons, the silver bullion wire on dark green national emblem is hand applied and sewn through the lining, the silver bullion on dark green wreath has a metal rosette, cap is size 59 and is in bright and excellent condition save for one small moth hole to the front left cap band and a couple of non penetrating insect bites to the lower rear edge below the cap band, nice looking cap, USD $2500 SOLD
