Peek & Cloppenburg manufactured Heer tropical overcoat, standard pattern issue type tropical overcoat made of mid weight olive colored wool, coat is lined in an olive colored flat cotton and the sleeves are lined in light grey colored rayon, lining is stamped in black ink with sizes and manufacturer information, the coat has deep turn back cuffs and is double breasted, with unhemmed skirt and adjustable rear belt, there are two flapped external hip pockets and one large internal breast pocket, the collar has a large steel hook and eye and has a buttoning tab underneath, each shoulder has a postwar replaced shoulder strap bridle, all grey painted pebbled steel buttons are still in place and are originally stitched, the large front inner closure button is a civilian replacement, the four smaller rear skirt buttons are of grey glass, closure buttonholes and lower edges of pocket flaps and cuffs are slightly abraded, no other damage is noted, just needs a pair of appropriate shoulder straps to complete, USD $1400 SOLD
