VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Service used late issue M43 service blouse for a Heer EM, constructed of rough textured grey green erstaz wool, lined in light grey colored rayon, with chest size 92 and other sizes stamped in black ink, depot H44, RBNr stamp in black ink to bandage pocket, having four patch pockets, adjustable cuffs and black painted steel hook and eye at the throat, blouse has factory zig zag machine applied woven national emblem sewn through the ling, the subdued litzen collar patches are factory machine straight stitched, the collar's under surfaces are covered in grey rayon, the collar liner, cuff and bandage pocket buttons are of black painted wood, one cuff button and two collar liner buttons are absent, each pocket and the shoulder strap positions have blue painted steel pebbled buttons that match and are originally stitched, setup for wear with slip on shoulder straps and the fabric underneath where they were worn is fresher, the front closure buttons are the field grey painted pebbled steel type and may be modern replacements, this example was actually worn and exhibits minor wear and staining, there are no holes, tears or repairs, the lower center front skirt is faintly marked in black with the letters HI, USD $1850 SOLD
