NS era Deutsches Rotes Kreuz nurse's ensemble, includes cotton dress smock, apron, mob cap, DRK enameled pin and woven DRK amrband, pullover blue pinstriped cotton smock with long skirt and double hem, type that had detachable collar, with size tag at the inner collar marked 44, the front placket has three white celluloid buttons and a press snap at the throat, with separate waist belt and white plastic button with buttoning tab, adjustable cuffs each have two celluloid buttons, accompanying apron is of white cotton and has two patch pockets, one internal and one external, apron with straps and tie strings, strap has former owner's initial tag, also included is a nurse mob cap with red cross emblem woven on a rectangular patch machine sewn to one side, further is a Deutsches Rotes Kreuz enameled pin with pin back and marked Ges. Gesch, this shows a bit of age but the enamel is sound, armband shows light age and is not sewn together on the reverse, all pieces are in excellent and exhibit only light wear and little, if any, staining, very nice grouping for a Red Cross nurse, these ladies were held in high esteem by civilian and soldier alike, USD $1000 SOLD
