Waffen-SS officer's visored cap, believed to be an example sold through the Kleiderkasse, cap's body is constructed of wartime quality trikot wool, having white wool piping with the crown piping being a bit thicker, with black velvet cap band, having black composite visor with deep tan colored under surface that is marked size 56 in pencil, silver metallic chin cord is held with two silver pebbled metal buttons, the aluminum insignia is affixed with prongs, cap is lined in light golden colored rayon, about 40% of the plain (and brittle) celluloid sweat diamond remains, with a light tan colored leather sweatband that is still quite pliable, cap has an attractive saddle shape, cap was service used and has a couple of moth holes to the top, one hole measures .5cm in diameter, the other is about 1x.5cm, these are not so noticeable as the padding underneath is of a similar color to the wool, having curb appeal, USD $7500 WITHDRAWN - reproduction insignia, re-banded Heer visor
