VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. Service used Heer Artillerie EM M40 cap manufactured by Schlesische Mützenfabrik Frankenstein, with body constructed of an olive colored cotton twill having a greenish shade, with liner of flat red cotton, three of the four ventilation grommets retain their green enameled finish, stamped in black ink with maker logo, size 55 and 1941 date, the woven tropical pattern insignia are factory hand sewn, the hochrot colored soutache is machine sewn with the ends inserted between cap body and brim, cap exhibits wear and fading and there are a couple of small stains, there are no holes or other damage, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for more information about this cap, USD $7850 SOLD
