Set of named Kriegsmarine white pullover shirt and trousers for an engine room Matrosenobergefreiter, shirt of white cotton with blue and white collar and cuffs, has gilt anchor buttons held by rings at the cuffs, the machine embroidered national emblem, rank chevron and specialty patch are all straight stitch machine applied, with pre war maker stamping, former owner's name label and with unit stitching in red thread, the accompanying trousers have the same sailor's name label, they too are of white cotton and have the 'bell bottom' shaped legs, with belt loops and tightening straps at the hips, there are two slashed hip pockets and one small watch pocket, buttons are celluloid, leg ends are hemmed, both pieces have age yellowing and have scattered stains, no attempt has been made to clean these garments, handsome set, USD $450 HOLD
