Set of service used first type Heer tropical service blouse and trousers, standard production blouse having open collar, four pleated patch pockets and adjustable cuffs, garment is constructed of olive colored cotton twill, the neck hanging loop, underarm reinforcements, bandage pocket and belt hook support straps are made of light olive colored flat cotton, the painted pebbled metal buttons are held with S rings with the exception of the shoulder strap buttons which are sewn into place, the adjustable cuff and bandage pocket buttons are the pressed paper type and are originally sewn, the black ink size and depot stampings are too faint to be read, with original shoulder board bridles, the insignia is factory applied with the tropical pattern collar litzen being machine straight stitched with finished ends and the tropical pattern national emblem being applied in the 'zip and flip' style of straight machine sewing across the eagle's wing and then being folded over with the lower portions being finished by hand, the faint shadow of a former rank chevron is visible on the left sleeve, the accompanying trousers are made of a similar colored olive ribbed cotton, there are two hip, a watch and one rear buttoned pocket, the inner waistband and pocket bags are of flat white cotton, the waistband is stamped in black ink with sizes and F.42 depot, steel dished buttons are used at fly, inner waistband and for the rear pocket, trousers have an integral webbed belt and a painted steel three pronged buckle, the trouser cuffs are reinforced, both pieces appear to have been worn by the same soldier and exhibit similar degrees of wear, fading and soiling, fabric is sound and without holes or repairs, the tip of the trousers webbed belt is a bit frayed and the legs exhibit a few darker stains, superb all original set, USD $5500 HOLD
