VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Service used Luftwaffe four pocket reed green service blouse for a Flight Unteroffizier, having the same pattern and cut as the Luftwaffe tropical service blouse with collar being worn either closed or open, six button front, pleated breast pockets with angled lower corners and pleatless lower cargo pockets, this example was altered by having both skirt and sleeves shortened, garment is made of drillich fabric having HBT weave, the minimal lining components and bandage pocket bag are made of blue grey colored rayon, the internal belt support straps have been removed, the left underam lining panel is stamped in black ink LBA 43 and with sizes, the blue grey painted steel buttons are affixed with steel rings, wit the exception of the shoulder strap buttons which are sewn into place, collar liner and bandage pocket buttons are horn, sleeve ends were simplified and there are no buttons, shoulder strap bridles anchor a pair of privately made straps with inner stiffeners made of blue felt materials and having felt piping, the metallic NCO tresse is machine sewn, the machine embroidered on blue wool national emblem is zig zag machine sewn and looks to be a replacement, very well done, a badge had been pinned to the left breast pocket at one time, with some soling, tint stains and yellowing at the collar line, otherwise showing little wear, USD $1550
