FER7 Comprehensive document grouping including DKiG, Nahkampfspange and TDB for Heer Panzergrenadier Oberleutnant who served in Poland, France, Russia (Stalingrad), Italy, France and Germany, Günther-Horst Dobrunz was an Infanterie Gefreiter when the war began, he was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class July 1940, Black Wound Badge August 1941, Infantry Assault Badge February 1942, Iron Cross First Class February 1942, Ostmedaille August 1942, Single Handed Tank Destruction Badge September 1942, Bronze Close Combat Clasp December 1943, Silver Wound Badge June 1944 and the German Cross in Gold December 1944; all documents are present with the exception of EKI, OST and TDB, subject's well used Soldbuch complete with photo in officer uniform is included, it is filled with important entries and an additional page was added to document the later awards such as Nahkampfspange, Silver Would Badge and DKiG, it is complete but some of the pages are loose, also included are period photos of Dobrunz - one as Infanterie NCO wearing overseas cap and M36 service blouse with SA and DRL Sports Badges, there are two later photos from January 1945 leave in officer uniform with wearing Nahkampfspange, TDB and DKiG, there is a large map of Stalingrad with Dobrunz's notations, further there is mimeographed Regimental Special Order of the occasion of the award of DKiG, hospital and leave documents as well as postwar civil documents, award documents have been folded and all are a bit age yellowed, everything is included in a collector assembled binder that documents the career of this soldier with informative written narrative, maps, photocopies providing pictorial context and separate sticky notes with notations relevant to the pages to which they are attached, an amazing grouping worthy of further research, Dobrunz survived the war, please paste the link below for further information about this officer, USD $3975 SOLD
