VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Large format award document the Kriegsmarine Minesweeper Badge, measures 30x20cm, printed on heavy paper, awarded to a Matrosengefreiten in Jan. 1944, entries are typewritten, with what looks to be an original signature of Konteradmiral/Vizeadmiral Hans Strohwasser, document has been folded into quarters and has separations at the seams, with significant age yellowing, recently discovered in a period book, USD $100 SOLD
